Hello the folks You are all invited to a bonfire, here on the saturday 18th December. I will find out if it is possible to use the house if people want to stay over. We could probably do the 21st if you all can? What ever is easiest. Love n light

Love the idea, liking the weekend (18th) better.
The 21st is moot night and also if we make it the weekend Summerstorm, possibly plus kids stand a better chance of making it, if your event is planned to be child friendly?
Let me know what date you decide and what time people are welcome and I'll add it to the calendar and to the site.

Yep all are welcome. It's an all natural bonfire, Plenty of wood to burn, it's all very green so may need some help with an accelerent, but we all know they are fun! Look forward to seeing you all there!

I'm really looking forward to this. The weather is a bit too cold to bring the little lady but Richard and I will be there and possibly the boys too.

Hey peeps - new to the site after reading the article in the Observer. Where is the Yuletide Bonfire being held as a matter of interest? Thanks

Hello Lady Mitzbitch, it will be at my home in the back garden. The plan is, for folks who don't know how to get here ( I am a few miles outside of Rugby) that people meet at The Raglan and follow Mr Brook And Miss Hayley to here. (as I don't want to post my addy on the interweb!) Depending on numbers and if people don't drive I can come out and offer lifts.

Great! Adding to the calendar as an all day event (let me know a time as and when you can)! Can't wait to be sat round one of your fires again pal! It's getting me all emotional!

(hehe) It will be good. If people want to bring drums etc. feel free and it'll be a case of bring your own drink. I was wondering if we want to do food? Baked potatoes, marshmallows etc. it is up to the people. The plan is to start around 6pm. Going on until whenever. I am sorry but the house isn't available for people to stay. But all in all should be a good night! (hopefully the lady Tracey and crew should be coming, it is a yes at the mo!) - Others who haven't made it to a moot yet.

Watergypsy, you have some wonderful ideas about stuff. Right now I am right on the cusp between joining in and meeting everyone and doing things, and on the other hand staying solitary. I know I am one of the least experienced members of the group in matters Pagan and have only been to one moot so far, but I am really searching inside for answers about overcoming self-imposed barriers to reach out to a wider circle... Mmm. The bonfire would be lovely. I'll have a think. Thanks for inviting us all anyway! Lots and lots of smiles and happiness to you!

Right now I am right on the cusp between joining in and meeting everyone and doing things, and on the other hand staying solitary. As with many things Pagans will vary in their opinion on this, but I still class myself as solitary. For me moots are a purely social thing, as is this fire. I don't anticipate there will be any form of group ritual involved (although watergypsy can obviously correct me if I am wrong). In addition to this any open ritual I take part in is just that, I am not a member of a closed group. As such open ritual is of far lesser importance to me than my own solitary workings. That's just my thoughts though.

Right, Hello folks, Erm... Sol, this is purely a bonfire as something beyond the moot, I have not the intention of it being any kind of ritual. I am fiercely solitary and very anti group ritual. This is just a chance for us to get together as a social group and chill with a fire outside. I regulary have bonfires as my garden generates more stuff than I can sensibly compost. The bonfire is just tree trimmings that need to be burnt anyway. You are all invited because of it being close to a sabbat and it is intended as something abit differernt from meeting in a pub. People are welcome but there will be no kind of ritual held. It's purely a social chill out invite!

On the food front, I think we should play russian rullete! Everyone bring what food they enjoy the most at a bonfire! (it's ok ok we can cook things! so hot dogs etc are ok) and we'll see what happens!
