Outside of the moot what kind of events would people like to see Rugby Pagans organising?
Due to the nature of a pub moot, as someone with kids myself, I would like to see us organising events that are inclusive of families.
I would also like to see us organising events that get us close to the natural world.
Some ideas I have had include: - Seasonal walks in the local country side. - Volunteer work for local organisations such as Warwickshire Wildlife Trust. - Group pathworking sessions.
What are other peoples suggestions and thoughts?

some great ideas there. Perhaps a picnic when the weather gets warmer. Maybe we could tag on the summer solstice visit with the birmingham group or get permision of our own.

I really like the idea of volunteering for conservation work, but for ourselves and for places that would otherwise be ignored. There must be thousands of acres of little roadside copses, streams and small areas of wasteland that are just used as dumping grounds. But with a little love, attention and management could evolve into little havens for wildlife. Through my own experience, adopting places like these encourages others to get involved and care for them too. The traditional countrymans crafts are easy to do at a level required to improve a habitat (bloody difficult to become a skilled craftsmen at them) But also could be a way to advertise - leave a laminated poster or painted sign saying something like 'adopted by Rugby pagans and the website' I am up for all the other ideas - group pathworking intreges me. I think I could be on board with that The offer on the boat still stands too if people want to.. it's something to do! (best saved for the summer or autumn tho) I could ask John (the farmer) for permission to camp on the fields round here, he's never said no yet and the farm is in the stewardship scheme, full of wildlife, trees and hedges - which is rarer than you think these days!!! So yeah we could do a camp for a day or two.

Oh yeah and we could have pottery days - we'd have to buy the clay (between £7 and £15 between us and it would make a lot of things.) and throw my mum a couple of quid for electricity, but she would be fine letting us use the kiln, we would just have to make enough stuff to fill it - not difficult it's only small!

I just moved Robur's post regarding including a photo in a post, to its own thread, in the Suggestions and Help board.
I hope no-one minds, but I think it's a useful tip and will be easier for others to make reference to this way.

Not at all Mr brook Laying in bed last night I remembered that Brinklow used to have a folk club, another thing we could do? I have always wanted to go but never had anyone to go with. If people are up for it I can find out if it is still going on.

If people are up for it I can find out if it is still going on. Folk as in folk music? Is it an appreciation society? Gigs? A join in workshop? I think I need a bit more info to gauge my own interest. Sorry if I am being thick!!

Yes folk music. I would imagine like Quigleys but in the village hall. I will look into it, find out and get back to you.
