Yes, I think that giving us some feedback about what happens at the moot, on here will be useful.
The whole issue of advertising is an interesting one.
In principle, you could say that making your presence known on WitchVox should enable anyone, sufficiently interested, to find you. But in practice, doing that alone, is not likely to produce any rapid results.
Several years ago, there used to be a shop selling occult paraphenalia, and occult books, in Coventry. That reaches exactly the type people who might be interested. The address was 40 Hill Street, and the phone number was 23969. I've no idea if it's still there.
I've no idea if there are any other such shops, either in Coventry, or perhaps in Rugby or Leamington.
Visiting Pagan festivals is also a good place to meet suitably minded people.
It's also a principle that wiccans do not 'proselytise'. Unlike Christians, wiccans don't try to 'preach', or make any attempt to convert others. The idea is that people who have an inclination for this kind of thing 'find their way' to organisations and people. The onus is entirely on a 'seeker' to find their way to a teacher. Teachers never go looking for pupils.

Teachers never go looking for pupils. You're absolutely right here. I have no desire to convert anybody. I also have no desire to teach anybody, so there is no "looking for pupils". This isn't a teaching moot (again attendees of the moot will be able to back me up on this, as the function of the moot has been directly discussed). As is laid out on the front page of the website the moot is intended to be a social meet up for Pagan people. Conversation may or may not be Pagan related (you're just as likely to hear about what went on in Eastenders, as discuss the three fold law of return). The point is if you want to raise a Pagan topic, unlike in our day to day lives, there will be genuinely interested people to discuss it with. As for feedback about what happens at moots. I think it can only really be delivered in the current way, i.e. if its relevant to a topic on the board someone will point it out that it was discussed at the moot. I don't see how else this can be done. I can't see as it's necessary or appropriate to start taking minutes over a few friends having a pint together! If you can suggest some kind of middle ground we'll consider it by all means. Can't help but feel that the best way to find out what happened at a moot is to attend it!

I don't have a witchvox account, I would have missed the presence of a Rugby moot if it had only been listed on that particular website (...and had i not been married to the moot leader!) I think there is a world of difference between exploring different ways of letting potentially interested attendees know there is a new pagan social group started up in the area and preaching or actively looking for pupils.

You're absolutely correct to say that no-one should be taking minutes!
I'll probably get a sense of what's happening from the website, and the posts on here.

I think we will all endeavour to publicise any special events that are going to happen, and any big news or decisions also. The little details will crop up as relevant. I just don't have the memory (especially by the end of a pub moot) to relay everything that is discussed. Also the standard of my conversation isn't always worth relaying (especially by the end of a pub moot). Also I wasn't being flippant before, if you can think of a better way for us to keep you up to date please let us know. Maybe we could try and produce some kind of news letter and use board membership as an email list? Production of it maybe a little erratic to start with as I do not always have access to a PC, but if it would help anyone I will.
