On November 9th 2010 three of us gathered at The Raglan for the very first time to begin Rugby Pagans.
Since that time I have met a lovely group of people, to exchange ideas with, at the moot and online. I am continually grateful that I had the idea to start this and the commitment to follow it through.
Purely from an organisational perspective we have continued to grow over the year. One early moot was cancelled as I was literally the only person there! Now we generally attract 5 or 6 people a time from a potentially bigger pool, with the most we have had at a moot, so far, being 10. Between this board and the facebook page the number of people with an affiliation online must be around about 30-35 people. The group has also begun hosting open rituals, been involved in community work (the talk to the Scouts) and more recently started a newsletter.
I think a lot has been achieved in our first year to say we're based in a town the size of Rugby, and on a personal note I would like to say thank you for all the Tuesday nights of stimulating conversation and laughter!
The moot after next falls November 8th, one day short of Rugby Pagans actual birthday, and I think we should do something to mark it and celebrate.
The problem is I am not very good at this sort of thing and don't really have any ideas!
Please make suggestions!
